We stand up for a good start of the children in our midst from the very beginning. A long time before birth their personality develops and, therefore, the children and their parents are entitled to respect and protection from the very beginning.
We, the founders of GreenBirth, want to be a lobby for you and your unborn children. We want to inform you about the prenatal development of babies and point out the risks during pregnancy and birth which did not exist in former times.
Often, the specialists lack appropriate knowledge of the psychic experiences of children before and during birth. But as therapists, parents, and midwives we have no influence on the level of medical knowledge. We have observed though that well-known doctors and scientists have been warning for years, have been informing their colleagues, but nothing has changed all the same.
As future parents you have great influence on pregnancy and birth provided you are well informed. But we will inform you in a different way from what you expect because pregnancy and birth are natural processes where in our opinion interventions should only be taken into consideration in case of emergency. In our country about 80 p.c. of pregnant women are considered risk patients, i.e., something went wrong. We think it is alarming that almost every third child is nowadays born by caesarean section. As concerns the other births, doctors frequently encroach on the birthing process by means of examinations and medication and thus disturb the some thousand-year-old inheritance of pregnancy and birth.
There is a strong need for a rethink on the part of the specialists and a large number of parents. We want to help encourage you to do so.
